D \\ ZEN CTRLZAK of Art & Design at the Milan Furniture Fuorisalone

CTRLZAK Art & Design Fuorisalone study presented at the Milan furniture 12 to 17 April 2011, the new collection D \\ ZEN.
D \\ ZEN is a new project inspired by the balance of the study CTRLZAK spiritual and physical practice of Zen.
The project was discovered by the creative duo from a custom-Zakopoulos Thanos and Katia Meneghini-near a Buddhist temple: or put small twigs under massive boulders.
These slender sticks seem to be the sole support of the stone, in a paradoxical game of perfect balance.
Hence D \\ ZEN, a line of furniture, a preview of the table and stool, designed as a simple volume supported in equilibrium. The collection
D \\ ZEN presented is built using simple and natural materials not affected by paint or coatings. The main volume is constructed of maple wood chosen for its strong spiritual connotations in the East, especially in Japanese culture. The rod support and resumed the natural offshoot of the wood, and is made of metal and hand-forged.
This transformation of material, serves to reinforce the importance of this support and is the graft-human intervention that balances nature and reminds us of the fragility of things.
objects is completed with the integration of reflective surfaces in a system of references and reflections that highlights the timeless connection between nature and man, between heaven and earth.
CTRLZAK has devoted a careful search for the realization of the first two items of the line D \\ ZEN, in a process approach and careful study of a discipline as complex and fascinating.
archetypal forms, simple and essential volumes that are used to hold objects or people: moving in seemingly perfect balance, an artificial form in the imperfect game.
Through the long process of development of the idea we have tried to represent the forms of nature in different ways, more or less complex, in an attempt to reach a form suitable for symbolic representation of the concept. The very essence of nature and balance of natural things have prevailed in the end, all attempts to complicated representation of the idea.
intense approach to the philosophy and approach to the aspects of practice that has intrigued CTRLZAK, so as to bring the team attendance at a Zen monastery.
The original meaning of this Buddhist practice remains uncertain but it is speculated that expressed a request, a vote or a witness and represent the power of Zen meditation as opposed to the burden of materialistic life.
